I had the opportunity to be one of the guest speakers at this event. I hope they ask me back!
For 24 years, a one-of-a kind program in Ohio has created positive role models for Lima students.
The Positive Lifestyles Program brought in 12 African American professional and leaders from around Lima to talk to North Middle School 5th and 6th grade students. The students learned about how they can achieve a career in politics, maybe start their own business, or be a news anchor. The program is designed to not only build self esteem, but form a connection between the students and influential members in the community.
